Me In A Nutshell
I'm a Los Angeles-based Urban Planner & Real Estate Broker. In Planning, my current focus is on land use law, regulation and enforcement throughout Los Angeles County. As a Broker Associate at Village Realtors, I assist individuals lease and buy homes, as well as commercial and retail spaces. My passion for the built environment is endless. Among other things, I care about economic development, sustainable urban design and preservation, environmental and social justice, public health, and affordable housing. Most importantly, I strive to improve the communities I work in with my planning and real estate expertise.
Y Un Poquito Mas...
I hold several advanced degrees from Cornell University, UCLA and abroad, and enjoy sports and traveling. I also like to write, and do so regularly at L.A. Unveiled, my personal blog on local culture and lifestyle in Los Angeles. (More writing samples here.) Other recent hobbies include jogging, sewing and cooking. I love wine, chocolate, and food in general. :) I've lived, studied and worked in several countries including the U.S., Mexico, Spain, France, Germany, South Africa, India and Japan, and have visited about 33 countries in all. I've studied German, French and Japanese, and am fully bilingual in Spanish.
Volunteer Work & Internships
I have volunteered and interned at countless organizations in the U.S. and abroad over the years (USAID, PEPY, Habitat for Humanity, HAC, City of L.A. Planetizen, etc.) and was always active in student government. Currently, I am a member of the Los Angeles Conservancy, volunteering on their Modern Committee, also leading their 'Modern Skyline' tour as a docent on a monthly basis.
